SNOM-Videos

With an optical nearfield spectroscope it is possible to make interesting animations by varying the detection wavelength. This page shows a number of photoluminescence measurements on optical semiconductors. All measurements are from the Institute of Applied Physics, Technical University Braunschweig. The basis of the SNOM set-up is a DME DualScope™ DS45-40 Scanner.

Every animation was made from the data of one single measurement. A click on the corresponding image will start the video.

Optical Nearfield Spectroscopy Setup

Principle of the optical nearfield spectroscopy setup
"Flashing Quantum Dots" Laterally growing Gallium-Nitrid structure at a temperature of app. 50 K
Scratched semiconductor structure Laterally growing Indium-Gallium-Nitrid structure
InGaN-LED at room temperature Blue displaced InGaN facets
Uneven laterally growing InGaN structure Individual InGaN-Quantum film on laterally growing structure
